That's it from us here. Go ang dig Youtube to travel back to those wonder years when McCullum's charge-and-hit ruled. You have grown up, I have grown up and McCullum's slowly crawling into cricket's history books. Just 2 Tests to go and expect them to be as festive as today. That's how you bid farewell to a hero. Do join us for that and hop tabs now for the ICC U19 World Cup match between Pakistan and West Indies. It's a goodbye from Pratyush Sinhaon behalf of Sagar Chawla, Akshay Maanay, Sriram and Srinivas.
Sir Richard Hadlee presents the trophy to Brendon McCullum. Has a few words to say as he shakes his hand.
McCullum: I knew about the record [200 sixes]. I have been so lucky to play for 14 years and represent my country. Made some good friends not in my country but other countries too. Not many get that opportunity. When you play against Australia, you have to play your best cricket. We were good for 80% of the game today. Way we fielded and bowled is a testament to this side. Aussies play hard and in an uncompromising style. Surface was slow, not a criticism. We had to play differently and Ish (Sodhi) bowled well for a guy who came in late. Tells us about his character. To step up in tough moments is what makes a player. I am sure we'll see big crowds in the next two Test matches. Thanks everyone for the support and all these memories will stay in my life. We are very lucky to do what we do. Appreciate it all. [thundering clap]
Smith: Tough, absolutely. We have been outplayed throughout this series. They played well in all three facets. Much controversy there in that catch. The next time I get hit on my pad and it's going down, do I wait for it to come up on the big screen? It's all about perspective. Disappointed that Henry didn't go up for the appeal. [Crowd boos] The right decision was made. [Crowd cheers] Take nothing away from the Black Caps. We did a great job to pull it back beautifully but it was just a touch under par.
Sodhi: Pretty happy to be here and take the opportunity. Proud of it. Went back and worked on a few things. Playing 4-day cricket helped me bowl slow. I love playing here and the wicket offered a little bit of turn.
Ish Sodhi is the Man of the Match for his figures of 2/31 that included wickets of Smith and Maxwell
Hang on for the epic presentation ceremony..
What's a good game without controversy? This one had it too. Mitch Marsh was going along brilliantly and then chopped one off the inside edge onto boot before popping back to the bowler. No one really seemed interested until the giant screen provided a clear picture to send a packed house into near revolt. It prompted the umpires to have a check upstairs much to Australia's annoyance and rule him out. Should the giant screen be allowed to dictate terms? As far as I am concerned, the right decision was made. From then on, the Aussies couldn't wage through the quicksand and folded up.
Seddon Park transformed into one big party as soon as Wade's departure put a seal on their victory. People singing along, grooving to the beats and having a blast. But it wasn't this way for the most part. Seeking a modest score (at best), Usman Khawaja looked in pristine touch taking getting the Kangaroos off to a brisk start. However, his flamboyance got the better of him giving the hosts a look into this middle order. Still, with the wealth of talent and depth in batting, it looked like Australia's game. That was before Ish Sodhi turned it around with a ripping spell of leg-spin bowling striking a couple of big blows in the form of Smith and Maxwell.
That's it. The coloured-clothing McCullum era is gone. Lovely scenes to mark his farewell. A stunning run-out that followed a short ball havoc, thousands of people on their feet to bid farewell to a hero who made youngsters switch his/her allegiance from rugby to cricket, and a team embrace that depicts years of hard work that McCullum put into it. Long emotional huddle, pats on Nicholls's back and congratulations for Brendon McCullum. The captain exchanged a few words with Williamson as they headed out for the handshake exchange. Australia bear a sorry look, understandably, having come so close to spoiling the "Goodbye BMac" farewell.
Milne to Boland, out Boland Run Out!! Here it is. Thousands of people and the eleven on the field celebrate McCullum's farewell as a direct hit has found Boland short at the bowler's end. Slower delivery dragged down, Boland chopped it to backward point and tried to sneak in a single. Took on Nicholls who overwhelms with his spearing throw and finds Boland short. McCullum lets out a roar, runs in with his finger pointing to the heavens and forms the seed for that celebratory huddle. New Zealand retain the Chappell-Hadlee trophy with a 2-1 win. Boland run out (Henry Nicholls) 2(12)
Milne to Boland, THAT'S OUT!! Run Out!!
Milne to Boland, no run, gets his midriff parallel to the ground as he ducks and lets this aggressive short ball sail over
Milne to Boland, no run, ooh! How has that missed? That was as close to me clearing the GREs. Dipping slower delivery just outside off, Boland misses the jam out and it rolls past the off-stump. Just past it, just
Milne to Boland, no run, gets his head low from the head-ripping zone and evades this short "dream farewell for BMac" bumper

Corey Anderson
6-1-16-2
Corey Anderson to Hazlewood, no run, back-away, swing and miss. Play that record when you miss McCullum. Makes room with a slide outside his leg-stump, throws his bat at the upper cut and ends up swishing the thin air
Corey Anderson to Boland, 1 run, opens the face of the bat but couldn't middle the steer. Off the outside edge and it scoots along the ground to third man
Corey Anderson to Boland, no run, and he connects. Stop the press, please. Gets the width and the height, and flashes the ball to backward point
Corey Anderson to Boland, no run, and another one. That's the order of the hour. Seems like the ball's a stalker and the bat's a stalkee. Goes for the steer to third man and sees the ball graze past his bat
Corey Anderson to Boland, no run, pacy ball this. Short of a length and angled across, Boland has a close-eyes bat-throw at it and is beaten
Corey Anderson to Boland, no run, fullish ball on middle, Boland allows it to come to him and then pats it back

Milne
8-0-42-1
Milne to Hazlewood, FOUR, no slip! Why? Karma. Remove the slip and you're doomed. Goes at this drive with hard hands, nowhere behind it, edges it behind and it runs uppishly through where a slip would have been
Milne to Hazlewood, no run, backs away to perhaps steer that to third man. The intent was more to let the ball ping the bat at least. Another one that grazes the bat face on its way behind to the keeper
